The project comprised the erection of a single storey extension to the front of the existing building into the car park to enable the enlargement of the existing store by an additional 1,593sqm.
 
Associated works included a new and enhanced customer entrance, improvement works to pedestrian walkways and
to soft and hard landscaping on the site and the reconfiguration of the customer car park layout and service yard area.

The new store's design distinction is in its front elevation. It consists of large glazed panels in aluminium frames set in brickwork with a low-level canopy spanning the entire width of the building. The customer entrance lobby is a double height vestibule in steel and glass that forms a striking contrast to the main bulk of the building.
