We were appointed as implementation architects to prepare the construction drawings for the new Central Science Laboratory situated on a 55-acre site in York. The development has 9800 m2 of high technology laboratory space, many built to house semi-permanent research studies.
A Central Facilities building contains state of the art lecture theatres, seminar rooms, an extensive library, restaurant/bars, together with reading study areas is also included within the project.
Following Darnton EGS work on the original CSL campus, we continue to work on laboratory and clean rooms at this major research campus.
Recently we have completed a new DNA forensics suite within the existing structure and are progressing with schemes to re-fit some of the buildings to provide flexible laboratory and office space.
