Several projects have been undertaken at this Grade II listed building including the provision of new visitor facilities and tea room. Following further discussions with English Heritage, Darnton EGS designed a residential development scheme with a view to releasing funds for the further repair of the dilapidated main hall.

Housed within an existing walled garden, the scheme design is formulated to sympathetically complement the existing historic building stock and provides five 5-bedroom, substantial detached properties.

The development received a Good Design & Construction Award from the local planning authority.
