The transformation of 115 New Cavendish Street on behalf of the University of Westminster has been completed by the London office of Darnton EGS.

The additional of a sixth storey vertical extension to the existing building provides new and improved facilities, including a Learning Resource Centre.

Designed to achieve a BREEAM rating of Very Good, our team developed design features that have helped to improve the sustainable performance of the building.

These features include a new brise-soleil to the south and west elevations; openable windows for natural ventilation and the inclusion of technology such a 'Phase Changing Materials' to allow night cooling of the internal spaces.
